These days the Wedding Shower Games are a big reason why wedding showers, or bridal showers are so popular. The bridal shower is a time for the bride to get together with friends and family have fun and receive some very welcome and much needed gifts. It is a time to relax and have some fun before the wedding. Not everybody is going to know each other and it is good to have a focus to the event. Then everyone can shout, “One ... two ... three ... WEDDING!” Candy Bar Game
Candy Bar Game: Take a wrapped candy bar and put it on the table with a knife and fork. You also need two dice, and a hat, scarf and mittens. Every time somebody throws 8 they have to put on the hat, scarf and mittens as fast as they can and try to unwrap the candy bar using only the knife and fork, and cut and eat the candy. Meanwhile the other players are still throwing the dice and another player gets to try as soon as another 8 is thrown. As you can imagine, this can get quite chaotic, but it is a lot of fun and it will get everyone completely relaxed and ready to enjoy the party. Wedding Dress Game Wedding Dress Game: Divide the guests into teams and give each team a roll of toilet paper. Every team must choose a bride and make her a wedding gown out of the toilet paper. They can use jewellery and accessories but no clothing items. The bride does not play but gets to pick the winner and take the photographs! You’ll be amazed at what some of the guests will be able to come up with. Make sure the pace is quite fast and do not allow this game to become too dragged out. Famous Couples Charades Famous Couples Charades: Prepare 10 or 20 cards with the name of a famous couple on each one. The guests separate into two or more groups and each group takes a turn to draw a card and act out the names of the couple as a charade. Make sure you know the guests and the “Famous” couples they are likely to know at least a bit of. It is no use if somebody gets a couple they are totally clueless about! Name Game Name Game: Each guest must create as many different words as they can from the scrambled letters of the names of both bride and groom. You can also give a prize to the guest who makes the longest word. This is normally a very popular game, especially if the names of the couple contain many letters that gives the guests a lot to work with. If the bride is planning a themed wedding you can also bring the theme into the wedding shower and adapt the games to suit it. You probably only need three or four games but well-chosen wedding shower games will make your event memorable and fun for everyone. Be Prepared: Wedding shower games are meant to make the party fun for everyone. If you notice that the guests are not enjoying a particular game, switch to another. Always be prepared for a few more games than you really intent playing, just to be prepared for the possibility of having to swap games.
