Wedding Toasts Groom
Weddings toasts, groom, are a tricky beast. They can take so many different paths, have a variety of tones and address an unlimited number of subjects. What makes them complicated are the politics of it all. You want to keep everyone happy and tread carefully so you don’t step on any toes but still get your point across at the same time. 2. A Toast To The Groom:
When the groom is being addressed he should be spoken to as a man, not a “buddy,” kid or college frat friend. He is now a man, for sure, and must be treated with the respect he deserves. Sometimes at weddings where the alcohol is flowing freely, men tend to get silly and act slightly childish. If someone is treating the groom inappropriately someone needs to step in and ask him to refrain from toasting. Simply cut them off and end their toast completely.
This is true for all guests, including the bride’s family who sometimes don’t like their bride’s choice of husband. Remember, it’s their day. Treat them with the respect they deserve and let them have pleasant memories of their special day. It is a day they will remember forever.
